Jim Gill, Independent Chair

Jim has over 20 years experience of major economic regeneration projects in the public and private sector, largely in Liverpool and the North West.

Before retirement in 2010 he was Chief Executive of Liverpool Vision. He is Chair of Professional Liverpool, a Trustee of Liverpool Biennial. a Member of Tate Liverpool Council and a Trustee of Liverpool Habitat for Humanity.

Jim Began his career with the Department of Industry before Joining Amec Plc as a director of the Company’s property and regeneration businesses before regional and national roles with English Partnerships. He has a Degree in Economics from the London School of Economics, an MA in Regional Studies from the University of Sussex and is an Honorary Fellow of Liverpool John Moores University. In 2007 he was awarded the OBE for Services to Regeneration.
